According to the service, Five Star is the most widely published award program in North America.  Five Star partners with respected magazines nationwide - including Chicago Magazine - to give their determination of the agents in the area that deliver exceptional client service, as noted by receiving the highest overall satisfaction scores during Five Star's detailed validation process.  Their team of researchers contacts clients that the agent has recently served, their real estate peers, as well as renowned industry experts - and asks them the name of their Realtor, their overall experience with them, and rate their agent in areas like client service, communication, and integrity.  Once collected, their thorough research is then scored, with only the very best professionals being named a Five Star Real Estate Agent (often as little as the Top 2% of agents, and not more than 7%).
